Compass means business when it comes to acquisitions. As the real estate tech company continues to push it’s dominance in the title game, Compass has announced it’s bringing in CommonGround Abstract under the larger corporate umbrella.
CommonGround Abstract, which serves New Jersey and Pennsylvania, founded in 2019.
According to Inman, Compass did not disclose financial details regarding the acquisition, but CommonGround Abstract President Marc Franzoni said that he and his team are “thrilled to be joining Compass.”
Earlier this month, Compass announced the acquisition of both First Alliance Title, out of Colorado, and LegacyTexas Title. As we previously reported, prior to September, Compass had already spent a reported $103.8 million this year buying other brokerages.
With the acquisition of CommonGround Abstract, Compass will now offer escrow services in 10 states: New York, California, Florida, Washington, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Colorado, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
