Following yesterday’s news that California saw a slight sales decline in April, we’re taking a deeper dive into regional data. The good news for sellers is that all regions, except the Far North, saw home prices surge by double-digits compared to April 2021.
SoCal, in particular, saw a cumulative jump of 11.7 percent annually, according to the California Association of Realtors.
Orange County continued its reign as the leader in local home sale prices, increasing just 1.5 percent month-over-month to $1,325,000. San Diego and Ventura followed with median sale prices of $975,000 and $955,000, respectively.
Los Angeles saw a month-over-month gain of 2.6 percent, surpassing the $800K marker. The median sale price in L.A. last month was $801,680.
L.A. and Orange County were the only SoCal spots to see month-over-month sale increases in April, increasing 2.9 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively.
