Elon Musk appears to be one step closer to his California exit. The entrepreneur’s Hillsborough estate has gone into contract, according to the Multiple Listing Service—though the offer amount remains unknown.
Musk listed the 16,000 square-foot, 100-year-old mansion for $31.9 million over the summer, after publicly declaring he was moving out of state.
The entire property spans 47 acres overlooking the Bay Area, and features 10 bedrooms, nine-and-a-half baths, a ballroom, cocktail room and both catering and personal kitchens. The grounds boast numerous hiking trails through lush trees and foliage.
Musk reportedly purchases the property in 2017 for $23.4 million.
Mary & Brent Gullixson of Compass hold the listing.
