Marilyn Monroe memoriabilia historically fetches a pretty penny at auction—but this might take the cake.
The West Hollywood condo Monroe called home in 1954 has reemerged on the market with an asking price of $2.49 million. Located in the well-known L.A. landmark Granville Towers, the penthouse unit features two bedrooms and two baths across some 2,000 square feet of living space.
According to the listing, held by California Listings expert agents Gina Michelle and George Ouzounian of The Agency, the condo features sprawling views, floor-to-ceiling skylight windows and gorgeous architectural elements. The kitchen boasts Venetian plaster, steel cabinetry and Viking appliances, while the formal dining room includes a show-stopping chandelier.
Unique to the home, a circular staircase winds through the two levels, with the master retreat taking full advantage of the expansive windows and skylights. Building amenities include a 24-hour doorman, clubhouse, pool and spa, courtyard and garden.
The property last sold in 2003 for $860,000 after another famous blonde actress, Portia de Rossi, sold to the current owner. Monroe lived in the unit just a year before buying a home in Brentwood in 1954.
Amanda Lhommedieu, also of The Agency, holds the listings alongside Michelle and Ouzounian, with more information found here.
