Elizabeth Taylor’s longtime Bel Air home may have sold shortly after her death in 2011, but news of the property’s second exchange has many wondering what the future of 700 Times Road may hold…
Dirt is reporting that well-known developer Ardie Tavangarian has closed on the 7,000 square foot home in an off-market deal for $11 million. Tavangarian, of course, is known for very grand, teched-out mansions, so the writing may be on the soon-to-be demolished walls for the 1960’s home.
Taylor actually bought the house from Frank Sinatra’s ex-wife Nancy in 1981, and lived there for the remaining 30 years of her life until 2011. (She reportedly paid $2 million for the pad back then.)
The home was photographed for Architectural Digest and a book, 700 Nimes Road, a documentary-style look at Taylor’s life through photographs of her home, shortly before her death.
