The tourist attraction/Instagram sensation and sometimes “public nuisance” that is the Flintstone House can remain intact. So says a California court in the latest property battle to come out of Hilsborough, California.
According to Inman, homeowner Florence Fang has been given the green light to keep her homepage to the Flintstones after questions from neighbors over whether the statues could be displayed legally. The settlement concluded that Fang can keep expanding upon the Flintstone display with the proper building permits from the city.
Additionally, Inman notes that the city of Hillsborough has also been ordered to pay Fang $125,000 in exchange for her dropping a countersuit claiming it tried to “intimidate, threaten and coerce” her from decorating her property.
The final settlement allows the city to review and approve a survey of Fang’s future landscaping updates.
