After record lows, mortgage rates have hit their highest level in nine months
The Washington Post shares that the 30-year fixed-rate average jumped to 3.17 percent—up from 3.09 percent a week ago. This is the highest 30-year-fixed-rate average since June 2020.
For comparison sake, this time last year, the rate was 3.5 percent.
The 15-year fixed-rate average rose to 2.45 percent—up from 2.4 percent a week ago and 2.92 percent a year ago.
