The ultimate ultra-lux flipper has notched herself another sale. After hoisting “Pompeiian Court” on the market for $46.5 million last fall, Ellen DeGeneres has sold the property for $32 million. Don’t feel too bad for DeGeneres and her wife, Porta de Rossi, for not getting their ask, though. The couple purchased the home for $22.5 million in June 2023.
According to Robb Report, multibillionaire mining tycoon Robert Friedland was the buyer.
The iconic 1919, eight-acre Montecito estate has emerged from an incredible renovation, per marketing materials. In all, the residence, grounds and four additional structures (two guesthouses, a poolside cabana and an art studio) are said to offer a series of experiences with spaces that stand on their own yet seamlessly meld into a cohesive lifestyle unlike any other.
A total of five bedrooms and seven-and-a-half baths are spread across the estate. The grounds boast ancient olive trees and a chardonnay vineyard, along with plenty of private outdoor space. All rooms open to a central courtyard, warmed by an outdoor fireplace.
Robert Riskin with Riskin Partners Group and Terrie Zwick with Village Properties repped the deal.
