Realtor and renovation expert Carmine Sabatella is making news offscreen with word that he has ditched Compass for the Agency. Sabatella, one of the stars of HGTV’s Inside Out, tells Inman he made the brokerage switch out of a desire to stay boutique.
“Compass is growing rapidly,” Sabatella said. “I don’t want to be one of a few hundred agents in the Pasadena area, for example. I want to have a platform where I’m maybe one of 100 agents in an office. I love the cachet The Agency carries. It feels more boutique. They are a very successful company, but it feels grassroots.”
Early in his real estate career, Sabatella ranked in the top 1 percent of his agency’s 57,000 agents nationwide in terms of sales volume. Recent accomplishments include securing a place in the Top 100 in Production and Sales, attaining the Top 1% status within the Berkshire Hathaway Network, and being ranked as the third-best agent in the Pasadena office.
In addition to his Inside Out reno work, Sabatella will also reportedly appear on a reboot of House Hunters next year as a consultant on remodeling projects.
