Rapper/producer-turned-actor RZA is sitting pretty in Malibu thanks to his recent big-ticket buy. The Wu-Tang Clan frontman purchased an 11,000 square-foot home along the Pacific Coast Highway for $9,775,000.
The Mediterranean villa was created for grand indoor-outdoor entertaining, set behind gates on more than five acres. Complete with a guest house and dual owner’s suites, the residence combines traditional details, such as vaulted ceilings, soffit lighting, and travertine floors, with an updated open layout, elevator, built-in sound system, and expansive use of glass.
The step-down living room is complete with a huge fireplace and extra-wide glass doors that open to a wraparound view balcony. The adjacent dining room shares the balcony and ocean views, while the spacious family room has French doors onto the front yard. The enormous kitchen would impress any chef, with dark green granite countertops, a large island with seating and built-ins, dual appliances of exceptional quality, and a pantry room.
One wing of the home features an ocean-view office, a two-tiered movie theater, and three ensuite bedrooms. On the upper level, two ocean-view primary suites, each with vaulted ceilings, hand-scraped walnut floors, fireplace, sitting area, balcony, huge custom closets, and a total of three lavish spa-style bathrooms set the stage for some lux vibes.
The estate’s manicured grounds include mature trees, fruit orchards, an ocean-view infinity pool and spa, generous patio space, an outdoor kitchen and seating area. A separate one-bedroom, one-bath guest house is near the home’s entry and the three-car garage.
California Listings Malibu expert Chris Cortazzo held the listing, while Michael Zelener of Pacific Coast Realty repped the buyer.
