And the mystery is solved! The so-called “Troll Apartment” in Alhambra that attracting a ton of media attention due to it’s unique location and low price, only to have its listing quickly deactivated, has now sold. And for $180,000 over asking, no less.
Originally listed for $250,000 and referred to as one of the cheapest homes available in Los Angeles, the 462 square foot unit is located over the arch of a bridge overlooking the Alhambra wash, with a “rooftop patio” (a fenced-in area adjacent to the street that runs over the bridge). The property has one bedroom and one bathroom.
According to the L.A. Times, listing agent Douglas Lee declined to identify the buyer who paid $430,000, but Lee said he is a retired Rosemead High School teacher. Kan Zheng with Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty repped the buyer.
