West Hollywood hourly workers are starting off Summer with a pay raise, as the city’s new minimum wage standard increased to $19.08 an hour on July 1. That means WeHo now offers the highest minimum wage in the U.S.
Seattle previously had the nation’s highest minimum wage at $18.69.
Other California hotspots also saw wages increase on July 1. San Francisco’s minimum wage increased more than a $1 to $18.07 an hour, while Los Angeles is now $16.78 an hour.
