Billionaire Ron Burkle has expanded his West Hollywood footprint with news that the SoHo House owner closed on a West Hollywood condo. The two bedroom/two-and-a-half bath unit belonged to acclaimed photographer Firooz Zahedi and sold for asking price at $1,489,000.
While Burkle’s intended use for the condo remains unknown, it is worth noting that he already is pretty familiar with the area. Records show Burkle owns a parking lot to the north and a commercial building on neighboring Sunset Boulevard (which he reportedly bought from David Geffen).
As for the condo itself, the tri-level modern gem boasts more than 1,600 square feet of living space. One of the most unique spaces in Carolwood, the main level features a bright and airy living room that opens up to a balcony. The upper level has two spacious ensuite bedrooms, while the lower level features a bonus room.
California Listings expert agent Josh Canova held the listing along with Jeff Yarbrough, while Kevin Dees and Sebastian Spader of The Agency repped Burkle in the deal.
Earlier this year, Burkle also parted with Bob Hope’s longtime Toluca Lake estate for $26 million.
