Legendary homeowners often make for legendary sales. In less than a month, the late Angela Lansbury’s home was listed and sold—and for way over asking!
Lansbury, who passed away last October, called the Brentwood property home for nearly 40 years. The four bedroom/four bathroom estate, which sits on just under half-an-acre in Brentwood Heights, was listed at $4.495 million. And now property records reveal the home has sold for $4,999,999.
It should be noted that should the home have sold for an even $5 million (or more), the Lansbury estate would have been on the hook for a larger tax bill under L.A.’s new mansion tax law.
The approximately 3,700 square foot home boasts natural tones via the terracotta roof and continue throughout the home with terracotta tile floors and vaulted wood ceilings. Skylights and large windows throughout the home provide an abundance of natural light to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The backyard is surrounded by lush greenery, while the pool is surrounded by an expansive patio and wooden deck which leads to a terraced garden area with a small greenhouse.
Mick Partridge of The Beverly Hills Estates and Maksym Khomin of Coldwell Banker Exclusive held the listing. Partridge also repped the buyer.
