Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. is looking for a buyer…at least when it comes to its real estate media holdings.
News Corp. has confirmed that it is in discussion with CoStar to sell off Move Inc.—home to Realtor.com. Bloomberg is reporting that the deal is in talks for $3 billion.
CoStar also seemingly confirmed the talks late yesterday.
News Corp. acquired Move in 2014 for $950 million. REA Group Ltd., also part of the News Corp. umbrella, also owns 20 percent of Move. Other brands under the Move umbrella include ListHub, UpNest, Avail, Doorsteps and Moving.com.
CoStar, already a giant in the commercial-property world, also owns the website Apartments.com.
