Not all properties move fast in SoCal! Then again, this is no ordinary home…
A little more than a year after being listed for $4.95 million, the Sunset Beach Water Tower home has sold for $4.5 million.
The 2,828-square-foot, four-level home boasts truly priceless 360 views, along with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, a rotunda-style living room and, yes, an elevator, for all those levels. There’s also a “secret room,” and hot tub on site.
Per the O.C. Register, the 1892 tower originally served steam engines as they traveled along the coast. By the 1970s, the tank sat empty, and in the early 1980s, a successful “save our water tank” campaign spared the structure from demolition.
In 2016, an investor bought the water tower for $1.6 million, later renovating it to the home it is today.
Co-owner Scott Ostlund of Lee and Associates held the listing. Kerrie Ann O’Rourke of First Team Real Estate repped the buyer.
