While the national real estate market hit new heights over the course of 2021, one of the brightest spots continued to be the L.A. area. With pockets of ultra-lux properties dotting already pricey neighborhoods, local agents pulled in record-setting revenue—even as interest rates began to rise and inventory remained tight.
But who brought in the biggest haul on the residential real estate front?
The Real Deal poured over buyer and seller deals to find the top 20 L.A. agents and teams, and a number of familiar names made the list.
Topping the 2022 list is the Aaron Kirman Group at Compass. Over the course of 431 deals between April 2021-April 2022, Kirman’s team cleared $1.34 billion in sales. The husband-and-wife team of Branden and Rayni Williams of the Beverly Hills Estates landed in the no. 2 spot, bringing in $1.34 billion across 128 deals.
California Listings Malibu expert Chris Cortazzo came in at no. 5 on the top agents list, with $557.02 million in sales thanks to 60 deals. Dennis Chernov and his team moved over to the Agency and landed at no. 8. Chernov and company cleared $427.87 million with 158 deals.
Beverly Hills Post Office expert Ernie Carswell and his team at Carswell and Associates brought in $401.57 million in sales 120 deals, cementing their spot at no. 10.
