What’s better than one ultra luxury beach house? Two, of course!
Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, co-founder of Netscape and co-author of Mosaic, has been identified as the buyer behind the sale of a contemporary stunner along the Pacific Coast Highway. The four bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom home spans some 7,100 square feet across two separate parcels with 130 feet of beach frontage.
Designed by international architect Chad Oppenheim along with Doug Burdges office providing local architecture planning, the sleek three-story structure features Venetian plaster, rift sawn white oak, large pocket doors, Navona travertine floors, and a generous open layout for effortless indoor-outdoor living and entertaining.
The four-bedroom house on Escondido Beach was originally listed for $55 million in June 2021. California Listings Malibu expert Chris Cortazzo represented both side of the deal.
Andreessen’s latest Malibu purchase comes just months after the Silicon Valley-based venture capitalist set a new record for California real estate, purchasing fashion mogul Serge Azria’s oceanfront property for $177 million.
