Mortgage and refinance rates continued to inch toward record levels this week as a number of popular averages hit their highest mark since 2019. Here is how the week ending March 25 shook out, according to CNET.
The 30-year fixed-mortgage rate average is 4.54 percent, up six basis points from last week. The average rate for a 15-year, fixed mortgage is 3.86 percent, which is an increase of 16 basis points from one week ago.
A 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage has an average rate of 4.53 percent, up three basis points from last week.
The average 30-year fixed refinance rate right now is 4.50 percent, an increase of four basis points. The average 15-year fixed refi stands at 3.84 percent, an increase of 10 basis points compared to one week ago.
For 10-year fixed refinances, the average rate is currently at 4.01 percent, an increase of 35 basis points over last week.
