Oscar winner Mahershala Ali is investing back in his hometown with the purchase of a North Hills bungalow.
According to Dirt, the Oakland native and his wife, producer/actress wife Amatus Sami-Karim, ended up having to go over asking price for a four bedroom/ three bath home, dropping $1.2 million on the 2,194 square foot property.
The multi-level home features hardwood and tile floors, high wood-paneled ceilings and skylights, while some design details are overdue for some updating. Outdoors, the almost quarter-acre grounds boast a back deck amid the woodsy surroundings.
Michael Stephens of Corcoran Global Living served as the listing agent. Mahershala was repped by Tom Telfer of Pointe Real Estate.
