Frances Bean Cobain has packed up and left Los Angeles. The daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain sold her Hollywood Hills Spanish villa for $2.29 million not more than two weeks ago, and she’s already closed on a new property a bit further south.
According to Dirt, Cobain has picked up a San Diego home for $2.3 million following an apparent bidding war. The three bedroom/two bathroom Point Loma property had been listed for an even $2 million.
The 1,800 square foot cottage features plenty of charm, thanks to exposed wood-beam ceilings, rich hardwood floors and plantation shutters. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors also bring in plenty of natural light and connect the interior and exterior spaces.
A large wood deck is topped by a custom steel and aluminum pergola, situated by a small pool.
Mike McCurdy of Compass handled both sides of the San Diego deal.
Back in L.A., Laura Kay at Compass held Cobain’s listing, while Todd Henricks, also with Compass, represented the buyer.
Much larger than the San Diego home, Cobain’s former L.A. house boasts nearly 3,000 square feet of living space across multiple levels. The main residence has three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, while an attached, tri-lvel guesthouse provides another bedroom and bathroom.
