The mortgage rate lows of 2021 are clearly behind up. For the fourth consecutive week, mortgage and refinance rates continued to climb, with all of the popular loan options posting double-digit basis point gains. Here’s how the averages looked by week’s end, according to CNET:
The 30-year fixed-mortgage rate average stands at 3.78 percent, up 11 basis points from one week ago. The average 15-year, fixed mortgage rate is 3.18 percent, an increase of 16 basis points from the same time last week.
A 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage has an average rate of 3.78 percent, up 10 basis points from last week.
The average 30-year fixed refi rate is 3.75 percent, an increase of 10 basis points compared to last week. The average 15-year fixed refinance rate is currently 3.15 percent, an increase of 17 basis points over last week.
The average 10-year fixed refi rate stands at 3.11 percent, up 12 basis points compared to one week ago.
