The midnight Halloween offer deadline came and went, and now we know what the famed Nightmare on Elm Street home sold for: $2,980,000.
The three bedroom/four-and-a-half bath Dutch Colonial had been listed at $3.25 million, with a heavy emphasis on the home’s storied movie history in the property’s marketing materials. (The selling agents even welcomed trick or treaters on Halloween.) The listing was then reduced to $2,999,000 last month.
Highlights of the property include walnut floors, archways and French doors throughout, an open, retro-modern kitchen, large primary suite, ensuite bedrooms, plus patios and terraces to maximize the use of the grounds.
A detached guest house has its own pergola covered patio, kitchen and an additional bathroom, per the listing.
Heather T. Roy and Learka Bosnak of Douglas Elliman held the listing. Brandt Hartmann of Sotheby’s repped the buyer.
