It appears the mortgage and refinance rates had a bit of a holiday hangover, with a number of popular rate options sliding by the end of Thanksgiving week. Here’s how the numbers shook out for the week ending Nov. 27, according to CNET:
The 30-year fixed-mortgage rate average is 3.14 percent, down five basis points from one week ago. The average 15-year, fixed mortgage rate is 2.44 percent, a decrease of two basis points.
A 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage sits at an average of 3.13 percent, down five basis points from the same time last week.
The current average rate for a 30-year refinance is 3.13 percent, a decrease of three basis points since the end of last week. The average interest rate for 15-year refinances is 2.44 percent, down one basis point.
The average 10-year fixed refinance rate is 2.42 percent, also down one basis point over last week.
