Luxury hotelier Mandarin Oriental is headed to Beverly Hills, but not with the company’s traditional accommodations. The Hong Kong-based hospitality company’s arrival will usher in 54 luxury condos along Wilshire Boulevard, according to the L.A. Business Journal.
Per the developer, SHVO, the plans mark the the first new condos to be constructed in Beverly Hills in more than a decade.
Residents of the seven-story development will have access to all the expected amenities of a Mandarin Oriental hotel—like a dedicated concierge team—in addition to a rooftop pool, fitness center, indoor-outdoor yoga, meditation spaces, a library, lounge and meeting space.
The L.A. Business Journal adds that the Mandarin Oriental Residences will include a ground-floor restaurant by Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud, open to the public, as well as a private rooftop pool-deck lounge and in-home dining for residents.
The 323,000-square-foot project is Mandarin Oriental’s first residential location on the West Coast, and the brand’s first standalone residences in the United States. Presales have begun, with closings expected in 2022.
