Looks like Long Beach is about to add some rhythm to the local market in 2022.
Per the Long Beach Post, the city’s Planning Commission unanimously approved plans for 84 townhomes in North Long Beach, in a vacant lot in front of the Michelle Obama Library.
Brandywine Homes and the LAB Holding is planning to turn the 3.2-acre lot into a mixed use space, called Rhythm Long Beach, with both housing, retail and dining. The three-story buildings will feature 27 two-bedroom units and 57 three- to four-bedroom units, according to the Post.
Expected to break ground in March of 2022, the 84 townhomes are also expected to be priced at “market rate” compared to other homes in the area, according to planning documents.
