California Governor Gavin Newsom has sold his longtime Marin County home in an off-market sale for $5.9 million.
According to Realtor.com, Newsom first listed the Kentfield property for $6 million in 2019. Featuring five bedrooms and six bathrooms across 4,000 square feet, the home was originally built in 1950, designed by Bay Area architect Worley K. Wong. It was later remodeled by Julie Dowling.
The Midcentury modern aesthetic is complemented by an updated kitchen, formal living and dining rooms and a large family room. Outdoors, there’s a pool and spa.
After becoming Governor in 2010, Newsom and his family relocated to the Sacramento suburb of Fair Oaks.
