Several major mortgage and refinance rates increased this week, following weeks of slight fluctuations but relatively low postings. Here’s how the week ended, on average, according to CNET:
The 30-year fixed-mortgage rate average sits at 3.04 percent, which is an increase of eight basis points compared to a week ago. The 15-year, fixed rate average was 2.32 percent. While still low, it does represent a seven basis points increase over last week.
A 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage finished the week with an average rate of 3.06 percent, up nine basis points from seven days ago.
On the refinance front, the current average interest rate for a 30-year refi is 3.03 percent, an increase of nine basis points. The average 15-year fixed refinance rate is 2.30 percent, up six basis points from last week.
The average 10-year fixed refinance rate is now 2.33 percent, an increase of six basis points over last week.
