Balthazar Getty, great-grandson of J. Paul Getty, has finally found a buyer for his Hollywood Hills contemporary property after five years on and off the market. And while he didn’t get the $10.5 million it was once listed for, the home did sell for an impressive $8.4 million—more than $6 million more than what he paid in 2003.
According to Dirt, the modern villa includes a main and guest house, boasting eight en-suite bedrooms, plus an additional three half baths, across 6,000 square feet.
While it bounced around the market, the property was occasionally available for short-term lease, reportedly upwards of $40,000 per month. Per Dirt, one of the home’s more well-known tenants was Joe Jonas, who stayed there in 2015.
The property was jointly listed with Brett Lawyer of Hilton & Hyland and Branden Williams of the Beverly Hills Estates. The buyer was represented by Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland.
