Seems like each year of ownerships nets you an additional million on the asking price in Beverly Hills. At least that’s the hope for Sue Gross, ex-wife of billionaire Bill Gross, who has listed her Beverly Hills estate for $38 million.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Gross bought the home from Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi just three years ago for $35 million. Given DeGeneres and de Rossi’s knack for home renos, the resort-style home was presumably in great shape when Gross purchased it, but that didn’t prevent her from making some additional upgrades—including adding two additional bathrooms!
The 5,300 square-foot Midcentury modern home now stands at four bedrooms and seven baths, complemented by solid teak-paneled ceilings running above the concrete floors. Per the listing, the grounds were designed by esteemed landscape architect Mark Rios, showcasing the pool, large grass area and a covered patio.
Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman hold the listing.
