San Diego’s blazing hot market continued in May, according to new monthly data from the California Association of Realtors.
Comparing the median sale price in May with April 2021, San Diego saw a 3.1 percent increase—cashing in at $851,000. The median sale price in the county was $825,120 just a month earlier. Year-over-year, San Diego’s median sale price is up nearly 30 percent!
Orange County continued to have the priciest median sale price in SoCal, with May’s average price coming in at $1,100,000. San Bernardino had the lowest sale price at $410,000.
Los Angeles County had minimal month-over-month growth. The median sale price in L.A. last month was $725,680, up from $718,440 in April 2021.
As we reported yesterday, existing home sales across California declined 2.7 percent last month, while the statewide median home price was up 0.5 percent to $818,260.
