The longtime Beverly Hills home of mogul Sumner Redstone has sold nearly a month after hitting the market. While the speed of the sale isn’t terribly surprising nowadays, the size of the sale is raising some eyebrows.
According to Dirt, the 15,000 square foot mansion has been bought by Rufus Hankey, chairman of software developer Nowcom and an officer at the Hankey Group, the financial lender founded by his billionaire father Don Hankey. The younger Hankey has reportedly purchased the home in an all-cash deal for $27 million—some $900,000 under asking.
The home features five bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, along with a host of fancy features including indoor and outdoor pools, a movie theater, home spa, gym and sunken tennis court.
Laurie Hudson of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties held the listing. Skye Lamb of Premier Realty Services represented Hankey.
