Corporate housing magnate Howard Ruby and his wife, actress Yvette Mimieux Ruby, have listed their Bel Air estate, dubbed Il Sogno, for a staggering $45 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Listed for the first time in almost a generation, the grand classic villa was esigned by Kalef Alaton, one of the 20 greatest designers of all time according to Architectural Digest. The home features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, a ballroom-sized party room and a hand-lacquered library across 12,000 square feet of living space.
Of course, an estate such as this is all about the details! High beamed hand-painted ceilings, stone carved fireplaces and an array of incredible world-class finishes and touches are found throughout the home. The listing also notes that the gardens were designed by David Jones, the personal florist of Nancy Reagan, Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor.
Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency holds the property.
