It was widely reported last month that Vice President Kamala Harris sold her longtime San Francisco condo, and now Forbes has details on the sale. After obtaining a copy of the deed, Forbes reports that the California native sold her SoMa apartment for $860,000—nearly three times what it originally cost her!
Now that’s some great appreciation value. Keep in mind that Harris originally purchased the one bedroom, one-and-a-half bath condo in 1998 for $299,000, which was obviously pre tech boom that saw Bay Area real estate prices soar.
The 1,000 square foot, loft-style condo is located on the top floor of it’s boutique building, and features floor-to-ceiling windows and a chef’s kitchen. Upon Harris’ recent listing, the property was on the market just over a week before going into contract.
Anne Herrera of Sotheby’s International Realty held the listing.
