Your Mortgage Minute for this week’s end shows some rates at their lowest levels since mid-February.
The rate for 30-year mortgages fell to 2.96 percent, according to Freddie Mac, marking three straight weeks rates remained below 3 percent.
The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage dropped to 2.30 percent.
According to MarketWatch, the low rates come in spite of the fact that Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen suggested this week that interest rates may need to increase to prevent the U.S. economy from overheating.
