He may not have taken home the Oscar a few weeks back, but Colin Farrell did take home a new house! The actor quietly sold his longtime Los Feliz home and bought a new home in the same trendy neighborhood.
First, Farrell offloaded his four bedroom/four bath home that he bought back in 2006. According to Dirt, 1920s Mediterranean villa-style house went for about $5.3 million in an off-market deal to Ludwig Ahgren, a professional gamer and longtime Twitch and YouTube streamer.
The actor has also picked up a 1920s Spanish Revival-style estate near his former home, once owned by Oscar-winning Hollywood film director Frank Lloyd.
The restored and renovated home sits on more than an acre, boasting five bedrooms and six bathrooms across 5,200 square feet. Features includes exposed beamed and high vaulted truss ceilings, a grand formal living room featuring separate study and library rooms, open concept kitchen/den, several outdoor dinning areas and a rustic water fall grotto. The primary suite boasts dual bathrooms and includes a steam shower, infinity soaking tub and huge shared walk-in closet.
A detached guest house showcases a vintage fireplace, bathroom and an outdoor shower. Other property amenities include a home theatre, wine cellar (with wine tasting room), solar system, security system with recessed wall monitors and Nest HVAC control.
Timothy Di Prizito and Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Realty held the listing, which sold for $5.9 million. Martha Smith of Keller Williams Beverly Hills repped the buyer.
