California Regional MLS, already the country’s largest multiple listing service, is teaming up with the second-largest base in the U.S. to beef up offerings to its subscribers.
According to Inman, California Regional MLS and Bright MLS has formally inked a partnership aimed at offering new, innovative tools and technology to more than 200,000 combined subscribers.
“We are entering this agreement so that we can accelerate the speed at which we develop and launch solutions for our subscribers, and eventually possibly to other MLSs,” a joint statement provided to Inman read. “Bright and CRMLS have significant internal resources that together we can better focus our efforts toward a common goal. Working together makes sense from a basic economy of scale standpoint.”
California Regional MLS, currently has more than 110,000 subscribers throughout the Golden State, while Bright MLS has more than 98,000 subscribers across six states and Washington D.C.
As part of the partnership, CRMLS and Bright MLS will sign a data share agreement. However, the two will still operate as separate legal entities.
