Call it a Leap Day miracle, but a Palm Springs property that Elizabeth Taylor once called home has finally sold after nearly 200 days on the market and numerous price adjustments. And while we’re sure the seller is happy to be done with the deal, the final sale price may have been a tough pill to swallow.
After initially being listed last July for $4.950 million, and then being repriced at $4.495 million at the end of the Summer, the property was then lowered to $3.995 million and then again to $3,799,000. The sale closed yesterday for $3.5 million—almost $1.5 million under the initial asking.
The Old Las Palmas home boasts four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths across 4,216 square feet. The property, featured in magazines, books, films, television, has hosted celebrities, world leaders, and royalty, per marketing details. Another marketing point was the newly renovated interiors by model-turned-interiors pro Kathy Ireland.
