Annie Leibovitz’s Bay Area hideaway has just come to market, asking $8.995 million. Tucked away in the small town of Bolinas, the 65-acre retreat is about an hour’s drive from San Francisco.
The famed photographer bought the property in 2019 for $7.5 million. “The Hideaway,” as it’s known, offers views of the Bolinas Lagoon, Stinson Beach and San Francisco. The updated residential compound features seven bedroom total, a guest house, workshop, and a caretaker’s residence.
The adjacent hay and dairy barns have been transformed into a banquet hall with a performance stage and Bluegrass festival founder Warren Hellman’s famed recording studio.
Bountiful fields and terraces for sustainable agriculture, livestock stalls and vast pastures decorate the expansive property.
There’s also an equestrian facility with a riding arena next to a seven-stall barn—plus offices.
Nick Svenson and Alexander Lurie with Compass hold the listing.
