A property owned by Oscar winner Julia Roberts has sold after a very brief stint on the open market. The five bedroom/five bath Presidio Heights home was listed for $11.750 million at the start of October and by month’s end, had sold for $11.250 million.
It may not have been asking price, but don’t feel too bad for Roberts. Records show she paid $8.3 million for the home at the start of 2020.
Set on one of Presidio Heights most distinguished blocks, the impressive five-level home is framed by the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the grandeur of the Presidio. The charming brick entry leads to the stately entrance and foyer where the home’s architectural detail and grand staircase are a warm welcome.
The living room has a wood-burning fireplace while the bright and expansive kitchen includes a seating area, breakfast nook, large island, two ovens, two dishwashers, two sinks, a Sub-Zero fridge, wet bar, walk-in pantry, desk nook and a balcony with a built-in barbeque.
The second level boasts four bedrooms and a sunroom. The third level is home to the primary suite with an office and lounge area. From the kitchen, stairs lead to a lower level with media room, laundry and large two-car garage. The lowest level has a versatile gym with direct access to the garden and a zen-like spa.
Tania Toubba with Sotheby’s International Realty repped the seller while Maximillian Armour with Compass represented the buyer.
