One of the Sacramento area’s priciest housing markets is getting a large number of affordable housing options, thanks to construction on a new project in Rocklin.
The 288 units being built by USA Properties will be reserved for residents who earn between 30-70 percent of the Placer County median income. According to the Sacramento Bee, that means 21,750-$50,750 for a two-person households.
The complex, called Terracina at Whitney Ranch, will include one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Monthly rents for one-bedroom units are projected to range from $515-$1,275. Three-bedroom apartments will likely cost between $687-$1,741 per month, per the Bee.
Amenities are set to include a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse with a community room and fitness room, a swimming pool, a courtyard with seating and a playground.
The project is expected to be completed in late 2024.
