The late Betty White is making lots of real estate news today. Following this morning’s news that her estate has listed her longtime primary home in Brentwood, we now learned that White’s beloved Carmel property has sold—way over asking!
Listed just weeks ago for $7.95 million, the four bedroom home sold yesterday for $10,775,000.
Back in 1978, White and her then husband, Allen Ludden, purchased a quarter-acre piece of land on a bluff above Carmel Bay for $170,000, eventually building a three-story contemporary.
Featuring four bedrooms, four full and one half bath, the home boasts more than 3,600 square feet of living space. The home offers panoramic ocean views of the Point Lobos Nature Reserve, Ribera Beach, and Monastery Beach from nearly every room, thanks to the design of architect Richard Hicks.
According to the listing, the property features outdoor decks to take in the surrounding nature. The lower level master includes a fireplace and attached bath, along with an adjoining sitting room with a second attached bath.
Nicole Truszkowski and Zak Freedman of Sotheby’s International held the listing and repped the buyer.
