Even in the luxury world of real estate, it’s rare nowadays to see a house see under asking. But for former San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, a few thousand dollars worth of discount was good enough to close.
The L.A. Times is reporting that Harbaugh sold his longtime Atherton home earlier this month for $11.78 million—a decent profit for his $6.3 million investment.
The five bedroom, seven bathroom home spans some 8,500 square feet of living space. Evoking the feel of a mountainside retreat, the home enjoys hardwood floors, fine millwork and beamed ceilings throughout. Highlights include the chef’s kitchen with Thermador, Viking, Bosch appliances, expansive family room and a yoga studio.
The grounds include a pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, firepit, and a lush, sprawling lawn.
The DeLeon Team of DeLeon Realty held the listing. Billy McNair of Compass represented the buyer.
