The late Betty White may have called Brentwood her primary home, but the iconic actress also had a long love affair with the seaside town for Carmel. Back in 1978, White and her then husband, Allen Ludden, purchased a quarter-acre piece of land on a bluff above Carmel Bay for $170,000, eventually building a three-story contemporary.
Now, just month’s after White death, the property has been listed for $7.95 Million.
Featuring four bedrooms, four full and one half bath, the home boasts more than 3,600 square feet of living space. The home offers panoramic ocean views of the Point Lobos Nature Reserve, Ribera Beach, and Monastery Beach from nearly every room, thanks to the design of architect Richard Hicks.
According to the listing, the property features outdoor decks to take in the surrounding nature. The lower level master includes a fireplace and attached bath, along with an adjoining sitting room with a second attached bath.
Nicole Truszkowski and Zak Freedman of Sotheby’s International hold the listing.
