Daniel Lurie, great-great-grandnephew of jeans icon Levi Strauss, is straying from the family’s longtime San Francisco base, having picked up a Point Dume estate for $15.5 million in an off-market deal.
According to Dirt, the multi-structure estate includes a main residence and guest house with five bedrooms and five bathrooms in all. The ranch-style property includes indoor and outdoor living spaces, a gourmet kitchen, classic statement fireplaces and clean design.
Set on 1.23 acres, the property may lack a pool but is just a short walk to Little Dume Beach.
Lurie’s purchase comes just month’s after the home sold to the publishing giant Ziff family. Per Dirt, the Ziffs never moved into the house and lost $41,000 on the sale to Lurie.
