After 25 years of sharing residential real estate news with the masses, Brad Inman is breaking some news of his own today.
Per his namesake website, Inman is set to be acquired by Canadian private equity firm Beringer Capital. Beringer, which previously owned media company Adweek, did not release financial details of the detail, though Brad Inman will retain a stake in the company, serve on the board, and stay involved in the Inman community.
The acquisition should mean few immediate changes for the Inman community. According to the report, Beringer managing partner Lu Cacioppo said in a phone call that the publication’s staff will remain in place, and the firm plans to invest in Inman with the goal of doubling its size.
Inman CEO Josh Albertson will continue to lead Inman post-acquisition.
