A great San Francisco view will cost you—even if the building has some troubled history.
The penthouse above the famed Millennium Tower has just been listed for $14 million amid building stabilization. In 2016, the SoMA skyscraper was found to be tilting and had lost more than a foot in height since its completion.
Since then, engineers have been working to stabilize the building and correct the tilt, installing 18 piles to supplement the building’s existing foundation. Work is expected to be completed later this year.
Back to the unit in question, the penthouse features just two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths across an impressive 5,009 square feet of 60th floor living space.
One of California’s highest condominiums boasts a 270-degree view of San Francisco landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, San Francisco Bay, Yerba Buena/Treasure Island, the Downtown Financial District and the Pyramid. The 3,000 square foot great room opens to a private outdoor terrace, maximizing the vantage point. The living room was also constructed with an “orchestra ceiling” designed to distribute music evenly throughout the condo.
Building amenities include 24/7 arrival team (doorman, desk attendant, security, porters and valet), a 20,000 square foot fitness and pilates center, saline lap-pool, screening room, owner’s lounge, landscaped outdoor terrace with multiple firepits, wine storage, private dining room and children’s playroom.
Gregg Lynn of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing.
