L.A. top agent Aaron Kirman is leaving Compass for Christie’s, per a new interview with The Real Deal.
“We have been wanting to have AKG to be a standalone firm for a while,” Kirman told The Real Deal on Tuesday. “We have a brand, the staff, the marketing, but we wanted the duality of a powerhouse brand behind us so that we have the ability to market all over.”
Kirman and his 160-agent team will have rights to the Christie’s brand for all of L.A. County, Ventura County and Santa Barbara County. The goal, he said, is to be a $5 billion company by 2025.
Last year, the Aaron Kirman Group brought in a total sales volume of $1.2 billion under the Compass umbrella.
