Actor Timothee Chalamet is finally laying down some roots on the West Coast. The New York-born actor has been revealed as the buyer behind Kate Upton and husband Justin Verlander’s recent Beverly Hills sale.
And while the couple didn’t quite get asking price—with a close at $11 million—they still walk away with some impressive profit off their $5.3 million purchase from 2016.
Originally built in 1976, the four bedroom/five bathroom home features more than 5,500 square feet of living space. Overlooking a championship tennis court, the property sits on a 1.55 acre property.
The Verlanders reportedly gave the home a contemporary, modern makeover after purchase (or “fresh perspective,” as noted in the listing), while still remaining some of the original architectural charm. The kitchen boasts a massive marble island and state-of-the-art appliances, while the formal dining room features custom lighting.
The primary suite offers pitched ceilings, dual closets and a resort-like bathroom. A walk-in, temperature-controlled wine room and bar area make entertaining a breeze, as does the large backyard, which showcases a brick pool and large grass area.
Susan Smith of Hilton & Hyland held the listing, while Stephen Sigoloff of Compass repped the buyer.
