Records may be made to be broken, but that can be a tall order in luxury-rich Los Angeles. However, a new condo sales record has been made with news that the Pendry penthouse has exchanged hands.
The 10th floor unit spans some 6,300 square feet and has sold for $21.5 million—the priciest condo sale in L.A. County so far this year, and the fourth most expensive the county has ever seen, according to the L.A. Times.
The unit was sold as design-ready, meaning the buyer will be able to choose the layout and customize the design. As such, additional spec info is largely unavailable.
The residence currently boasts wall-to-wall glass offering panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, Downtown L.A. and the cityscape. An incredible 2,782 square feet of private outdoor living space is offered across two levels, featuring a gourmet outdoor kitchen, private hot tub and direct access to the residences rooftop pool.
Of course, living within a hotel/residence concept building has its perks. Owners enjoy privileged access to the Pendry West Hollywood hotel and the Britely Social Club, the Sun Rose, bowling alley, five-star spa and fitness center.
Taaseen Qureshi of PowerPlay represented the Pendry. California Listings Palos Verdes Estates expert Molly Williams of The Hobin Company at Bayside represented the buyer.
